De wekelijkse Lotto-trekking: veel mensen blijven er speciaal voor thuis op de zaterdagavond. Het programma wordt iedere zaterdag om 20.00 uur live uitgezonden op SBS6. Althans, dat beweert de commerciële omroep. Hierdoor denken veel mensen de trekking met eigen ogen te aanschouwen.
Naar verluidt blijkt dit toch niet helemaal waar te zijn. De trekking van de Lotto is namelijk helemaal niet live. Dit beweerde een oplettende kijker, die twee achtereenvolgende trekkingen met elkaar vergeleek.
Vallende balletjes
De Lotto is niets anders dan een loterij. De balletjes zitten in een grote, ronde bol die ronddraait. Hier rollen vervolgens een voor een de balletjes uit. Deze komen daarna terecht in kleine kokertjes. De zes balletjes die vallen, vormen samen de winnende getallen. Doordat de balletjes rond zijn, zou je zeggen dat deze nooit op dezelfde manier in de kokertjes vallen.
Tja, dat zou je inderdaad denken. De oplettende kijker waar we het net over hadden, weet wel beter. Hij analyseerde in december twee achtereenvolgende trekkingen. Bij beide trekkingen viel het balletje op precies dezelfde manier in het kokertje. Dit is natuurlijk bijna onmogelijk wanneer er sprake is van een live trekking.
Het is en blijft een kansspel
Natuurlijk is en blijft een loterij een kansspel. Je kunt dan ook nooit van tevoren bepalen hoe de balletjes precies in het kokertje vallen. Het is echter nagenoeg ondenkbaar dat een balletje op identieke wijze valt. Vooral bij twee achtereenvolgende trekkingen.
Probeer zelf maar eens honderd keer een dergelijk balletje te laten vallen. De kans is heel groot dat deze niet een keer op dezelfde wijze terechtkomt. Hoe kan dit bij de trekking van de Lotto dan wel het geval zijn? Dat vroeg deze oplettende kijker zich dan ook af.
Gemonteerde uitzending
In tegenstelling tot wat altijd beweerd werd, is de uitzending dus niet live. Een woordvoerder van de Lotto geeft dit toe tegenover de NOS. Hij geeft aan dat het vallen van de balletjes voor de uitzending wordt gemonteerd. Deze montage vindt overigens pas plaats nadat de notaris de trekking verricht heeft. Er wordt dus wel echt een trekking gehouden, alleen is deze niet live op televisie te zien. Maar is de Lotto-trekking nu nog wel geloofwaardig?
De trekking zelf bijwonen
Tja, als fervent kijker van de Lotto-trekking ben jij dus mooi voor het lapje gehouden. Dacht je de trekking live te bekijken, blijkt dit toch niet het geval. Jouw vertrouwen in de Lotto is nu mogelijk geschaad, dat is goed denkbaar. Maar dat is nergens voor nodig.
Je kunt de trekking namelijk gewoon live bijwonen. De Lotto verkondigt namelijk dat er publiek aanwezig mag zijn bij de trekking. Er worden dus wel echt getallen getrokken, alleen is dit niet live te zien op televisie. En zeg nou zelf: een notaris die een paar nummertjes trekt, dat is toch ook saai om te zien?!
