Schouw kreeg een voucher waarmee hij deze of komende week de prijs op kon halen bij een lokale bouwmarkt. Een heel gedoe, voor veel mensen amper de tijd en de brandstofkosten waard en dan is het ook nog eens vakantietijd. De lokale bouwmarkt blijft waarschijnlijk met heel wat van deze voedselboxen zitten.
Dat bracht Schouw op het idee om een actie op te zetten om mensen over te halen om de vouchers op te sturen naar de Voedselbank. Ook in Breda zijn heel wat mensen helaas afhankelijk van de voedselbank. Deze mensen zijn maar wat blij met een ontbijtbox met Fair Trade-producten. Daarom bedacht Schouw dat mensen hun voucher op kunnen sturen naar de Voedselbank. De Voedselbank kan de ontbijtboxen dan met een busje ophalen en uitdelen aan de hongerigen in Breda.
De Voedselbank is uiteraard erg te spreken over het initiatief van Schouw. Desiré van Veldhoven, betrokken bij de Voedselbank Breda, meldt dat prijswinnaars hun voucher op mogen sturen. De Voedselbank zal dan alle ontbijtboxen ophalen bij de bouwmarkt. In totaal zijn er ongeveer 2.300 ontbijtboxen gewonnen in Breda.
Heb je een voucher voor een ontbijtbox gewonnen en geef je deze prijs liever aan de Voedselbank? Dat kan. Je kunt de Voucher dan opsturen naar De Voedselbank Breda, Koele Mei 21, 416 JG Breda.
